Now Is The Best Time To Buy A New Barbecue Grill
This is the best time to buy a barbecue grill. There are so many options on the market with different types of grills at all price points that there really is something for everyone. Before if you wanted to buy a grill you didn’t have much choice but now there are so many choices. Will it be a gas grill, or a charcoal grill, or even one of those new big green egg grills, I’m going to give you some different options and tell you what I like about each choice and hopefully you can find something that you like for yourself or a loved one.
Types of Barbecue Grills to Consider
There are a few different types of barbecue grill for you to consider if you are thinking of buying your first one or just replacing the old worn out one that you are currently using. The three main types of grill to consider are gas grills, charcoal grills, and the new style egg type grills. I have used both the gas grills and charcoal grills and I currently have one of each and use them both. I have no experience with the egg grill but I have many friends who swear by them and the food they cook is pretty fantastic.
I love gas grills. My Weber like the one pictured above but mine is a little older and a little rustier is my go to grill. The reason I really like gas grills is the fact that you can come home late from work and turn it on and literally be cooking in ten minutes not to mention that they hold a steady temperature much like an oven. So yes I have cooked a pie in mine over thanksgiving. A gas barbecue grill is a great choice I couldn’t live without mine. Just don’t make the same mistake that I did when I bought mine. I decided to buy the grill and I ordered it online and the box came so I decided hey I will put this thing together and I will be eating steak in a couple hours. Well, you know how that goes, needless to say It took me more like four hours to put that Weber together but being the stubborn guy I am I still cooked that steak but I started it at 9 P.M.
Gas Grill Choices
Grilling with charcoal really is how it all started. For me anyway and most of us probably we remember our dads teaching us how to barbecue on a charcoal grill in my case it was an old hand me down Weber Grill that had seen a few summers but still worked just fine. So when I grew up and started doing the grilling on my own it was a charcoal Weber that I bought. For one it’s simple and cheap and I could afford it in college. The thing I like about charcoal grills is it’s more of a process and almost a tradition and the food has to be done just right. Where a gas grill is set it and put on the right temp for so many minutes and it’s done just like your oven. The charcoal grill is the exact opposite you don’t know how hot the coals are and you have to keep a watch on it or you will burn your dinner. A charcoal grill is the perfect thing for a barbecue with friends over because you can all stand around and talk while you cook. Another nice thing about a charcoal grill is they are light so it’s easy to take it to the beach or the park in the back of your truck. One person can load it easily.

BIg Green Egg Type Grills
The Big Green Egg, I have never cooked on a big green egg before it is something I am considering though. I have a few friends that swear by this thing and I can’t argue the results. The food that comes out of this giant green egg is truly outstanding.
So as you can see there are so many different choices of barbecue grills to fit your lifestyle, budget or just what you want or what your used to. If this is a gift ask the recipient what they want or if it’s surprise then look at what they are using now and let that be a judge get them something similar but nicer and with more features because we all like nicer and more features in everything be it barbecue grills or whatever in life.
